At the center of the captivating rolling fields, lived a shepherd boy. His life was mostly untarnished, simple, and honest. His main role was to look after his herd of sheep.

The boy chuckled at the confusion on their faces. This trick laughed for a few days more. Yet, one noon, a real wolf actually come to prey the here herd. The shepherd boy ran for help, shouting “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, no one responded.
Frustrated and alone, the boy struggled against the wolf but managed to rescue only few of his flock. Devastated, he went back to the village only to receive a lesson on honesty and the repercussions of dishonesty.
His tale of this shepherd boy has been transmitted generations as a mediaeval parable for teaching the significance of honesty, the consequences of lying and the dangers of false alarms. Moreover, it highlights how trust once violated, is hard to earn back. It's a story as pertinent today as it was in the past.
